Getting to The London Palladium

The nearest underground station is Oxford Circus (Central, Victoria and Bakerloo lines) and Bond Street (Central and Jubilee Lines). The nearest step free access stations are Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street.

No, there is no official dress code for the London Palladium, however, visitors generally show up in smart casuals.

The best seats are in the central section around rows M and P, which provide excellent views of the whole stage. The overhang from the level above slightly restricts the view from rows further back, but not significantly. The section is well raked, giving good views over the heads of the audience in front.

Auditorium. Air Conditioning: The London Palladium has an 'air cooling' system in place. Food & Drink: Snacks and drinks in plastic containers are allowed in the auditorium, however hot food is prohibited.

A blue plaque has been fixed to the wall below the stage. Sir Bruce Forsyth's ashes have been laid to rest under the stage at the London Palladium. The late entertainer's ashes were placed at the famous London landmark in a private ceremony attended by Sir Bruce's family a year to the day after his death.

The Stalls is the first (stage) level of a theatre, also called the Orchestra Stalls in America. It is often at street level, although not always. The next tier is called the Dress Circle or Royal Circle (or just Circle if it is the only additional level in the venue), and which is called the Mezzanine in America.

- London Palladium. They are standing! Behind the audience... but it's only 40ish minutes each half and over by 9.30ish. the last 10 minutes or so are standing ovation anyway!

The Prince Edward Theatre has both boxes and lettered Loges. It also has stalls boxes set back from the last row of Stalls seating. The Prince of Wales Theatre has numbered boxes and The Queens Theatre has Loges 1 & 2.

There is a cloakroom available. Items can be checked in for £3 for clothing items and £5 for bags and suitcases.

The Royal Circle is the second-closest section to the stage and offers good views. It is less expensive than the Stalls, but still offers a good view of the stage.

So while you won't get turned away if you wear jeans, a t-shirt and a pair of trainers, you may still want to invest in formal or smart casual attire to make the most out of your trip to the West End!
