Has my home become sucha pit of corruption that when a person's house burns down all that is assumedis a conspiracy or scandal. I remember Carl Dickerson's father. He wasa man of integrity. He inspired me to rise above the oppresive social statusthat so looms over those of small town hispanic life. He and his wife werekey educators in my elementary years. I can only assume that the strictmoral standards and work ethic that were placed upon me were applied tofamily life at the Dickersons. I read the article on the internet and felta blanket of shame fall over me as I couldn't distinguish the differencebetween The Guide or El Zocalo during heated political campaigns of thePRI and PAN. I pray for that town. I can only hope that what I read wasblatant sensationalism and not a legitimate attempt at journalism.Educatethe voters.
