We were happy to sponsor and participate in ACR Health's 32nd Annual AIDS 5K Walk/Run this past weekend on Onondaga Lake Parkway. For the past 40 years, ACR Health has been on the frontline of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Since its inception, ACR Health has expanded its services and is dedicated to destroying barriers to health and equity. Last year, more than 13,000 people were served by ACR Health’s youth and family service, health insurance navigation, harm reduction, testing and prevention, and care management programs. Thank you, ACR Health!

We are proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 15K Boilermaker Road Race! As a local health plan, we’re excited to support this iconic race that means so much to Utica and the Mohawk Valley. Each year, hundreds of our employees and their families gather to participate, volunteer or cheer on the runners as they take to the streets of Utica, NY for “America’s Best 15K road race.” This year, Lori Florack, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Excellus BCBS, will join the thousands of runners from across the world for her first Boilermaker. A veteran runner, Lori will share her training plan and some running tips she’s picked up over the years. Keep checking each week to see how Lori’s preparing for the big race. She’s even recruited other runners from Team Excellus BCBS who will be joining her on July 14 - Boilermaker Sunday! *This video does not provide, and is not intended to provide, medical advice. Consult your own health care provider(s) before beginning any exercise program.

Every spring for several years now, our employees volunteer at HOPE for Bereaved's Butterfly Garden of HOPE. Earlier this month, our volunteers were back at it, cleaning up the property's landscaping, weeding and mulching flower and tree beds, planting flowers, raking leaves, and doing whatever else it takes to beautify the gardens and surrounding property after a long winter's rest. Thank you to HOPE For Bereaved, Inc., and thank you to our volunteers!
