and even with regional forms and cross gen evos in legends we still managed to get new Origin forms for Dialga and Palkia.

at minimum I could see Mega Xerneas, Mega Yveltal and one new mega form.

at average I am hoping for the Kalos starters to get them as well, whilst Legends Z-A starters get regional forms.

I think that the Kalos starters will remain the starters in this game.

I don't think new Megas would equal to a small amount of regional variants like with the Paradox Pokemon. There was still a substantial amount of Galarian variants despite the presence of Gigantamax forms.

This could be thanks to GMAX and Mega Evolution being only temporary transformations.

Weren't Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant based on Mega Evolved Pokemon?

They were, and the Pokedex also separates them from the other Paradoxes, as they're considered "special" in a way.

Koraidon, Miraidon, Walking Wake, Iron Leaves, Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt, Iron Boulder, and Iron Crown are also "Special" since All of them have signature moves and are related to Legendary Pokemon.

As much as Khu's credibility is down the drain to me

the current rumours from him are that Pokemon Pocket TCG App is the only product for release this year, that Legends Z-A is not an early 2025 release and that gen 10 is releasing 2026 for the 30th anniversary.

We'll see how this plays out.

Sounds like a risky move. Especially since there are some people who aren’t really into the Trading Card Game, like me.

I don't know if I can fully trust him after what happened last year, after he was so adamant that Hydrapple was going to be a Bug/Dragon type and the next games after the SV DLC were going to be Unova remakes.

if there truly is no winter release this year, then i truly hope that both Z-A and Gen 10 benefit immensely from this gap year.

We'll have to see what may come from future Pokemon Presents for the rest of this year though.

Idk about the other stuff but you don't have to be a leaker to guess that Pokemon was gonna time Gen 10's release with the 30th anniversary, the timing works out perfectly and there's no way they weren't gonna do that

I think they're gonna do something else entirely for the 30th. I can't see them having SV be the VGC games for four years in a row.

Why? SWSH were there for 3 years, it isn't that big of a stretch. And if the rumor of 2015 not having a game because they cancelled Z to focus on SM for the anniversary is true, it's not hard to imagine them spacing Z-A out so the next game would be Gen 10 in 2026.

It wasn't a problem for Gen 8 because of COVID. There was no World Championships in either 2020 or 2021 because of the pandemic, and I don't know if SV could remain the competitive game for four years as the metagame would quickly become stale and massive amounts of players will leave. They might have to release another mainline game next year on top of Legends ZA and have that game be the VGC game for 2026 if they are waiting to release Gen 10 until 2026.

Massive amounts of players didn’t leave when Sword&Shield was the meta game for 3 years, so no, Scarlet&Violet being the meta for 4 years wouldn’t cause a massive amount of players to leave.

If you think 4 years is too long to hold a meta game, wait until you see a fighting game’s competitive scene.

If Z-A isn't going to be an early 2025 release, I personally doubt we are getting Gen 10 late next year.

I'm hoping for a relatively early 2025 release. I don't understand why they would tell us about a game that they weren't planning on releasing till almost two years later. They could have just not revealed it yet and hyped us up in next year's Presents instead. I know other games have crazy long reveal windows, but Pokemon doesn't seem to usually do that.

I'm thinking that it will be an early 2025 release, with another mainline game coming out in Holiday 2025 because I can't see them skipping two holiday seasons in a row.

Then they would have likely just said Legends Z-A would be coming out in early 2025 instead of 2025 like they did for Legends Arceus.

The fact that they said 2025 instead of early 2025 would likely imply that Legends Z-A isn’t coming out in early 2025 but instead is coming out later.

Heck it’s entirely possible that the only reason why we got the announcement for Legends Z-A this year instead of having to wait for Pokémon Day of 2025 is probably just to help tide us over and give some people more Pokémon stuff to talk about since this year is basically a break year for the main series.

I wouldn’t be that surprised honestly if Legends Z-A is the Holiday 2025 game and it was just merely announced early.

I highly doubt they would announce it that early if it was going to be a Holiday 2025 release. They would've waited until 2025's Presents to do it if that was the case.

To be fair, they were pretty tight lipped during the announcement. We don't even know what the starters are(if we even get different starters from the Kalos ones at all) or what the players look like.
